tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27 1976) is an former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. The renowned player is considered to be one of greatest tight ends ever, he is the NFL's all-time leading player in receptions and receiving yards for a tight end along with ranking third overall in total receptions. Gonzalez spent his first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who picked him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Also, he played with the Atlanta Falcons for five of his final seasons. Gonzalez quit in 2013, is an analyst for NFL on Prime Video. Prior to that, he worked for CBS Sports, Fox Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six All-Pro honors. Gonzalez was well-known for his strength and his ability to not throw a ball. He appeared in 272 games during the regular season and had only two fumbles and a total of 1,327 plays. In 2019, he was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
